10GBASE-LX4

10GBASE-LX4 is 10 gigabits per second Ethernet specification. 10GBASE-LX4 is defined mainly to run over 300 m of fiber with modal bandwidths of 500 MHz-km and above. 10GBASE-LX4 uses coarse wavelength division multiplexing to support ranges of between 240 m and 300 m over deployed multi-mode cabling.

10GBASE-LX4 uses four separate laser sources operating at 3.125 Gbit/s in the range of 1300nm on unique wavelengths. The 10GBASE-LX4 is also capable of operating to 10 km on single-mode fiber.
