The American Registry for Internet Numbers is a nonprofit organization founded in 1997. It is the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) for Canada, the United States, and some islands in the Caribbean.
Some of the services of ARIN includes; allocates Internet Protocol resources, develops consensus-based policies, and facilitates the advancement of the Internet through information and educational outreach. ARIN is one of five Regional Internet Registries in the world.
