Domain/OS 【Apollo Domain/OS】

Domain/OS was an operating system developed by Apollo Computer, Inc. during the late 1980s, as the successor to the one previously used, AEGIS. It was an operating system used by the Apollo line of Workstations.

Domain/OS was a distributed operating system. It was designed to run on workstations connected by a network to provide transparent access to local and remote files. Domain/OS was the industry's first operating system that provided a true distributed UNIX operating system. Apollo was purchased by Hewlett-Packard and later ended the Domain/OS in favor of their HP-UX Unix variant. HP ended final support for Domain/OS on January 1, 2001.
