Online banking is a service that allows an account holder to obtain account information and manage certain banking transactions through a personal computer via the Internet. This is also known as Internet banking.
This gives customers the freedom of doing banking outside of bank hours and from anywhere where Internet access is available, saving money and time. Online banking is done via the financial institution's web site and no special software or hardware is usually needed.
