Super Digital Linear Tape or SDLT is a form of magnetic tape storage technology used for computer data storage and archiving. It is a higher capacity variant of Digital Linear Tape.
Super DLT can store upwards of 100 GB on a single cartridge and transfer data at speeds of up to 10 megabytes per second. SDLT is backward read compatible with DLTtape IV cartridges written on DLT 4000, DLT 7000, and DLT 8000 tape drives.
