SGRAM
full spelling : Synchronous Graphics Random Access Memory
Synchronous Graphics Random Access memory (SGRAM) is a type of DRAM used on video adapters and graphics accelerators. Like SDRAM, Synchronous Graphics RAM (SGRAM) also is clock-synchronized RAM technology.
SGRAM is single-ported. SGRAM uses masked write and block write. The masked write enables selected data to be modified in a single operation rather than as a sequence of read, update, and write operations. The block write, allows data for background or foreground image fills to be handled more efficiently. SGRAM designed for graphics hardware that requires high-speed graphics-intensive operations.
