SMS is an acronym for Sort Massage Service also known as text massaging, available on digital mobile phones (also from the Internet, using "SMS gateway" websites, other mobile devices such as Pocket PC and even some landline telephones).
SMS allow send and received text massages between mobile phones. If the phone is powered off or out of range, messages are stored in the network and are delivered at the next opportunity. Short messages are particularly popular among the young subscribers.
