Thread

Thread is a collection of several articles on one topic on BBS, news groups and mailing lists. Because the articles belonging to the same thread is treated as one group, users can easily extract topics that they are interested in.

Comments within a thread are limited to the ones following the main point. In the case that comments go off the track of the thread topic, the derived part becomes a new thread. The topic of original is supposed to be consistent.
