WRAM 【Window RAM 】
full spelling : Window Random Access Memory
Window RAM or WRAM is a dual-ported memory type which is similar to VRAM. However, despite of its name, WRAM has nothing to do with Windows operating system.
It was designed to replace video RAM in graphics adapters. WRAM is faster than VRAM but costs less. However WRAM is no longer to be found on new devices; for graphics cards, it was rapidly superseded by SGRAM and DDR-SDRAM.
WRAM was developed by Samsung. WRAM was used by Matrox on both their MGA Millennium and Millennium II video cards.
